Brochure

Bank security is one sector of the "private-sector security industry" and our nation's "critical infrastructure." It comes with its own nuances, setting it apart from the rest of the industrialized world.

How to Develop & Administer a Written Security Program
The Bank Protection Act, the cornerstone of a bank's security program, requires the adoption of appropriate security procedures and the development and implementation of a written security program. Bank examiners now challenge FIs who fail to establish a written security program or whose program does not reasonably address the objectives of the regulation. Understanding the components for developing and administering a security program (with sample policies and procedures) will ensure compliance and safety.

Bank Robbery: A Fresh Look At A Common Threat (SafeCatch, The FBI's NEW "Bank Robbery Suppression Program")
A new bank robbery initiative, SafeCatch, was developed by the FBI Bank Robbery Coordinator in Seattle, WA. The basic premise of this initiative is to prevent bank robberies and stop the re-emergence of the "serial bandit." This session will analyze and compare the components of SafeCatch with the two key components of bank security regulations that require FIs to adopt security procedures to discourage robberies; and to assist in the identification, apprehension and prosecution of persons who commit them.

Burglar Alarms: The False Alarm Perspective & Enhanced Call Verification (ECV)
Reducing false burglar alarm response has been at the forefront of the alarm sales, manufacturing and monitoring industries. Law enforcement communities throughout the country have addressed the issue through fines and penalties as well as the abatement of alarm monitoring practices. ECV helps reduce false intrusion detection (burglar) alarm dispatches while still protecting the alarmed facility by mandating an attempt to verify the legitimacy of an alarm activation. This session will explain and address local ECV regulations affecting your institution with needed security policy augmentations.

Fraud Prevention Management: Update & Review
Incidents of fraud and related losses in the banking industry far exceed incidents and losses due to robberies, burglaries and larcenies. This session identifies fraud risk and addresses fraud exposure with sample fraud and ethics policies to ensure an effective "loss prevention management" program. Also, we will review the latest frauds and prevention "best practices" necessary to prevent what appears to be an onslaught of fraud activity in the banking industry.

Who Should Attend
This informative session is designed for the new and seasoned Lenders, and is beneficial for Compliance/Risk Officers, Credit Analyst, Collectors, Trainers, CEOs, CFOs, Directors, Presidents, and anyone responsible for establishing & maintaining bank policy & procedures.
